My line is pretty interesting this year. We only had two new kids audition and both "made" snare with me and another senior. They couldn't cut it, however, so we recently moved both of them to the front ensemble. Our instructor hates the look of two snares so he decided to move everyone around the whole show. Sometimes the two quad players will play snare, other times the snares will move to tenor. Our show looks like this:

Opener - 4 snares, 5 basses, 7 front ensemble
Ballad - 5 basses, 7 front ensemble (this is where we take the snares off and move to tenor)
Drum feature/third movement - Start off with a snare break and then the 4 of us move to 4 quads on stands where we play a quad solo
Closer - 2 snares, 2 quads, 5 basses
