on the casey claw is that the casey claw that casey brohard does in his winning dci solo and if so he did that with one hand and it has right and left.

I can't view Brohard's solo right now, but I'm pretty sure he does a 3-way tap to make a rapid succession of notes with one hand.

The "Casey Claw" is not named after Casey Brohard. It is named from someone back in the early 90s from University of Kentucky's drumlines (IIRC) who also marched Cavies (they all did back then ). Hulka could clarify this.

Yeah, they Casey Claw is named after Mark Casey (Cavies '91-'93). I think Brohard did a 3-point variation of the claw as Kevin pointed out. Watch my DCA video and you'll see me play the claw first right-handed then left-handed.

To play a malf tap just play a flam as you would normally, like the left hitting just a bit before the right. But to play the malf tap you raise the grace note to be the accented note and keep the tap low. So instead of a say a grace note and tap being 3 fallowed by a 9 you do a 9 fallowed quickly by the 3 to be a flam but the grace note is emphisized.

"Ratamaswiss" Is currently unable to answer your question, as you see, he is on the "list", hopefully to return soon.

I e-mailed him with the same question some time ago and he answered about the course of 3 days, but not working on it constently. Overall though about 14 hours or something.
