What kinda of sticks have you experimented with and which ones sound the best. Im not talking about tenor mallets or just notmal marching snare sticks either. I persoally carry around a pair of Alex Aecuna Timbale Sticks in my tenor stick bag and i have a pair of dreadlocks, and a pair of Vic Firth Magnum Rockers too. Lets hear some ideas...

Well, there are the ralph hardimon tenor sticks. I prefer the Scott Johnson "Vega" tenor stick. they feel great on tenors and also on pads. These are what the BD's use.

I use the vic firth tenor sticks. I am not sure which guy made them from the name wearing off, but they are nylon tipped. I think they are great to use myself.

I like the American Drum "Headhunters". They feel great and they last forever.

WWHSTenor, those are the Scott Johnson "Vega" sticks. Sean Vega is BD's tenor instructor. As for how good they are, I hear they're good, but I've never used them.

Speaking of mallets, there was a song that we played that called fo rthe part to be played with either snare sticks or a rattan. We used snare sticks, but what is a rattan?

We also use the American Drum mallets, but we use the Radials. Well, that's what they give us. Once those break, we use Firths. The American Drum mallets smell great when you hit them together. <img src="/threads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
